![]() Another possibility is that the cable coming from the Autostar (the board behind the power panel) may have become loose (or its connector pins oxidized) at the Autostar end. The flat cable wrapped around the DEC axle can crack with age and flexing. Remove the cover: That reveals the cards. You access that area by removing the "knob" at the axis (it can can be simply unscrewed), then the metal disc beneath it, and the bunch of allen screws running around the fork's edges that secure the cover plate. Frequently problems with that are due to the wiring becoming loose or damaged.
